This was another spur of the moment activity that actually turned out pretty cute.
Materials
Train Outline
Cardboard, Foamboard or other sturdy paper
Cotton balls
1 empty toilet paper roll
Markers
Glue
Take the outline of a train and using a pen poke holes along the lines to transfer it to the carboard, foamboard or whatever you use. Just make sure it’s nice and sturdy.
Once you’re done poking, it should look like this:
Then trace the holes to re-create the lines of the original print out:
I then had Landon use markers to trace over the lines I created. He did such a great job tracing!
I wrote his name for him and had him copy it below! This was his first time writing his name! Way to go Landon!
I traced and cut out the “smoke” from the outline and we glued it to the train. Then we glued on some cotton balls.
Take the empty toilet paper roll and cut it in half. Then cut a little slit in the side like this (do it to each half):
Slide the bottom of the train into the slits. The thicker material you use for your train the wider the slit you’ll need. But don’t make it too wide or it won’t stay on.
Choo Choo!
