One year ago today Riley came into our lives. It has been such a crazy year with job changes for both Brad and I and moving. It’s funny how they say the time with the second goes by so fast. It has. Really fast.
Life with the 3 year old and 1 year old is no slow life. I remember when Landon was this age and younger I would literally sit on the floor with him taking thousands upon thousands of pictures of the same pose. He was just so adorable! Riley is too – that is for sure, but life is just so different with the two. Wonderful, but different.
It’s bitter sweet. I’m really not the type to get all mushy about my kids growing up (but they are only 1 and 3… we’ll see on the first day of kindergarten). I know it’s part of life that they eventually grow up and start a life of their own – and it’s my prayer that Brad and I do a good job of raising them to do that well. There sure are some days….
I look back at this last year – this whirlwind of a year, and even with all the change and stress and difficulties it held, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m so very grateful for everything: my family, children, friends and the place we are right now in our lives.
