This is a fun and quick pumpkin craft!
Tape-Resist Pumpkin Painting
Large piece of white construction paper
Painters tape
Orange paint
Draw and outline of a pumpkin on your white construction paper. I just “free” handed a pumpkin.
Using painters tape cut different shapes to make the face of your jack-o-lantern. Landon insisted on wanting 1 square eye and 1 triangle eye – you got it buddy! I’ve never really cared what the end product of any of his art look like. It’s the process that’s important! I cut the tape in the shape and size he wanted and he put it down.
Once you have your face taped paint over the whole pumpkin area with orange paint.
After the painting is finished, carefully peel off the tape to reveal the clean paper underneath.
I did this while it was still wet, but I’m sure you could do it after it dried as well (and might even be easier; I had part of the paper rip because it was pretty wet with the paint). Cut it out once all dry and hang it up!
