We’ve been doing (and will be doing more) harvest and fall type art and craft projects with the fall season on us. We’ve done a ton of pumpkin crafts and now that corn is in full harvest we’ve been talking about and doing some corn projects.
Corn Art
Corn husk picture in black and white
Corn kernels (the dry kind in the pop corn isle)
Glue
Markers
Color the husks green
Then cover the entire corn section with glue and sprinkle the dry kernels on the paper. This is a great fine motor activity as the pincher grasp (the act of picking up the corn kernels between your pointer and thumb) is a great skill to develop for handwriting.
Once you have it all covered carefully set it aside to dry!
